The Commemoration Hall is set in the centre of the picturesque market town of Wadhurst, East Sussex.
Originally built to commemorate the local service personnel who lost their lives in WW1, the Commemoration Hall has served as the centre of village life since the early 1920s.
It offers an ideal location for wedding receptions as it is only a short walk from St Peter & St Paul’s Church and also hosts engagement parties, birthdays, anniversaries, dances, quiz nights, theatrical productions, community cinema, and events held by other community organisations.
It’s location, directly on the High Street, makes it the perfect venue for the local Farmers & Craft Markets, Jumble Sales and community events.
The Main Hall (which includes the stage, kitchen, toilets, changing room and PA system) is suitable for about 200 people seated and has disabled access.
The Orchard Room, situated to the left hand side of the building (down 5 steps) seats 25 plus and has access to a single toilet.
The Committee Room, which is to the rear of the hall and at ground level, is a small functional meeting space which seats 14 around a large table.
